Obituary of Lee Roy Renfro

Lee R. Renfro died Saturday, July 14, 2018 after a brief illness.  He was the son of Johnny and Pearl Renfro.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Smith Renfro in September, 2013, after 62 years of marriage; their son, William Roberts Renfro and Lee’s brother, J.B. Renfro.  He is survived by his devoted son, Dennis Ray Renfro (Joyce); granddaughter, Michele Lee Renfro; grandson, William Roberts Renfro (Shannon) and great grandsons, William David Renfro II, Cameron Murray; sisters, Betty R. Laws, Estelle R. Westall, Wanda Faye R. Peterson; brothers, Kenneth Renfro, Ronnie Renfro, Keith Renfro (Janet); sister-in-law, Jean Smith Freeman; nieces, nephews, many friends, neighbors and co-workers to cherish his memory.

Lee was an avid golfer, working at Renaissance Golf Course after retiring from Causby Furniture as sales representative and warehouse manager.  His Tuesday morning golf buddies, employees at Renaissance, friends and neighbors added so much pleasure to his life for which we are grateful.

Lee was a long time member of Dilworth Baptist Church.

A memorial service in celebration of Lee’s life will be at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Chapel, at 2:00PM Friday, August 10, 2018, with visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Men’s Missions group at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Blvd., Charlotte, NC  28203
