I am so sorry for you and your family during this difficult time in your life. I hope the wonderful memories and so much you both learned and shared with others will be with you forever.
I had the opportunity to meet Ann at Kings Mountain Historical Museum on February 25, 2016 for the lecture and book signing with her book The Uncommon Bond of Julia and Rose. The story is a novel but also a very historically similar and emotional story of life as it was in the 1800's. For some reason, about a week ago, I had a desire to read the book again. It is still an emotional story and now a very emotional time to be reading it for many reasons and particularly knowing how Ann felt about the book.
Thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and all your family friends,
Lynn Eskridge

Gracious is how I would describe Ann Williams when my husband and I met her some years ago at the Charlotte History Museum. Ever since it's been a pleasure to read Ann and Jim's news of the Mecklenburg Historical Association. I wish that I had known this lovely, gracious lady yet more, and regret her passing for her family and friends.

My heart is crying for you, Jim, and your entire family. May you feel the love that surrounds you today. I know how difficult this past year has been. But Ann was so determined to not let that nasty cancer win. As I told her several times, when she and I talked about her cancer fight and my husband's battle with Multiple Myeloma, she was always such an inspiration to me.
I will attend the service and go to Ann's Celebration of Life Sunday afternoon. I have known Ann for five years. She was the first person I met when I joined the Mecklenburg Historical Association and became a docent at the Hugh Torrance House and Store. I was in awe of her endless knowledge of Mecklenburg history - and she wasn't even from here. I truly thought of Ann as a friend and a mentor that encouraged me to learn more about my roots and heritage in Charlotte.
It was with Ann's support that helped me to launch Voices From The Past. I don't believe it would have happened without her guidance. With that being said, on April 18th, we will pay tribute to this fine lady where she is finally spending time with " all those dead people that are her friends".

Dearest Jim, our hearts are heavy for you during this difficult time. Ann was a wonderful lady and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Please know that we are sending much love and prayers your way today and in the days that follow. We pray you take comfort in knowing that this is just a brief time of separation and someday soon we will all be together again, never more to part, no more tears, no more pain, no more suffering living in Heaven with our Lord and Savior just as he has promised.
All our Love,
