Charlene Hale Simplify marvelous “It is “
2nd floor Nursing Station.
Ms. Hale was such a wonderful and vibrant Woman and a beautiful soul.
She was a resident of second floor for a very long time. OH, how she made the floor with her smile and that infectious laugh she had. She will always say hello to staff and ask how their kids were doing.
I Tweetsy can remember every morning coming up the hall and look in Ms. Hale room and if she was awake, she would say “Hey Tweetsy, how are the boys doing, I love you girl and how are u doing.
She did this with all the staff. Ms. Hale was known by all the staff in the building by “Simply Marvelous” That was her nick name.
She had been made an official greeter of the facility and name badge as a greeter and as soon as she got out of bed she would go outside to the pouch and will greet everyone who came into the building and would introduce herself as “ Simply marvelous “ and I`m from Detroit.
She made herself known, no one came to the building and not know who Ms. Hale was.
She was loved as one of our family members some staff called her Aunty, Ms. Hale will lecture you in a heartbeat. She will correct you as she would her own kids. She gave respect and expected the same.
Ms. Hale was my only female on my hall as her nurse with 22 male and she made sure she got treated like the queen of the floor. Ms. Hale was very appreciative and would thank you like 10-15 times after her care and never forgot to tell that she loved you.
As I write this, tears rolling down my cheeks, I remember coming to work Monday morning and as I was getting report from the ongoing staff, She reported that Ms. Hale had coded and was at the hospital. My heart was broken but Today I can stand and say that God Almighty is Sovereign and He taken one of us and my prayer is that the creator comforts your hearts in your times of loss and sorrow. May He grant you peace, hope and faith during this time of grief. The Whole facility misses our Simply marvelous. We miss you “Ms. Simply Marvelous.
Citadel Myers Park second floor staff
