Obituary of Devin Clayton Jacobs

Devin Jacobs, 27, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his father John C. Jacobs, grandfather James C. Jacobs and uncle Darryl Jacobs.

He is survived by his mothers, Elsie Jacobs and Sarah Hunt, step-father Hank Hunt, brother Christian Hunt, grandmother Louise Jacobs, aunt Sally Jacobs, uncle James F. Jacobs, niece Savannah Forsythe and 3 cousins and a host of friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday, June 26, 2020 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC  28203 with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington.  Interment will following immediately at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney Street, Pineville, NC  28134.

Every life has a purpose. We wish you were given longer to fulfill your purpose. But in the  short time you were given, we have learned a few things. 

Everyone deserves another chance. 

Be a father to the fatherless. 

Enjoy life with a smile.

Don’t let others still your joy. 

You may not have realized your purpose but we do! Thank you for being the biggest smile in the room! Thank you for your heart of gold! Thank you for teaching us things that we may only now realize you were teaching us! 

All things work together for good, even the things we don’t understand! 

You have left a void that will never be healed! We love you, Devin!
