Obituary of Esther Diana Young

Esther Diana Gomez Young, 76, of Charlotte, North Carolina, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Born March 17, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas, she is the daughter of the late Victor Sr. and Martina Gomez. Diana enjoyed baking, cooking, crafting, solving puzzles and spending time with her family. Though her most favorite time of year is now, in the fall as the leaves are changing, she loved watching Christmas movies all year long.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James Grady Young Sr. and sons: James Young Jr., Steven Young, Christopher Young and his wife, Pauleen and Brandon Young. Additionally, she is survived by grandchildren: Amanda, Dylan, Matthew, Andrew, Hudson and Isabella as well as great granddaughter, Olivia. Also Diana is survived by her sister, Yolanda Vielmas and her husband, Paul, her brother, Jerry Gomez and his wife, Silvia and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends who love her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Diana was predeceased by her siblings: Olga Martinez, Victor Jr., Abel, Richard, Ralph and Edward Gomez.

A private service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 3:00.
