Obituary of Jeanne Ruth Davis

Mrs. Jeanne Ruth Crowell Davis passed away peacefully at White Oak Manor in Waxhaw, NC on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 95. Jeanne was born in Charlotte, NC May 17, 1926, to the late Johnny and Winnifred Helms Crowell. The oldest of three children, she grew up in Charlotte and attended Central High School. After graduating, she went on to work in bookkeeping for several companies. She married Mr. Raymond Davis of Charlotte and together they had one daughter, Cynthia Davis. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the Senior Choir. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Crowell, sister Elsie Keziah and husband Ray Davis. Jeanne is survived by her loving daughter Cynthia Mahon of Charlotte, granddaughters Staci Morrison, Tricia Deal, Carley Moreman and Brenna Russell and her 8 great grandchildren: Joshua, Blakely, Savanna, Remington, Ellie, Carter, Elisabeth and Vivienne. Jeanne was well loved by all who knew her and will be missed for her quiet, kind and gentle soul. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 1 pm at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road Charlotte, NC 28212.
