Lib, who was 90 years old, joined her best friend and the love of her life, Jim, on Sunday, February 20, 2022
She was born January 19, 1932, a native. Charlottean. She was the daughter of Anna Mae Helms Welch Kirkland “Mae” and George Constantine Welch, “Buck”. She married James Kenneth Marrow on May 28, 1947. They had three children together, Debra Ann, Michael Kenneth (Mike), and David Lee.
Lib was a loving wife and mother, who was a stay at home mom and a homemaker until her children reached adulthood. She then entered the workforce as the secretary/bookkeeper in the family business
Lib enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her fur babies, Mugsy and Rusty, her plants, especially ferns and hostas, and many hobbies. She enjoyed knitting baby blankets for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren
She is survived by her children, Debra Marrow Christenbury (Ray) of Pineville, NC; Michael Kenneth Marrow (Beth) of Mooresville, NC; and David Lee Marrow (Clemmie), of Belmont, NC; seven grandchildren, Morgan Marrow Hill (Austin) of Troutman, NC; Chad Marrow (Jessica) of Columbus, NC; Kenneth Christenbury of Fort Mill, SC; Charles David Christenbury of Charlotte, NC, James Marrow of Maiden, NC, David Marrow, Jr Of Maiden, NC and Abbie Marrow Norris (Alex) of Belmont, NC. She has nine great grandchildren, Mary Marrow of Columbus, NC, Hudson and Raleigh Hill of Troutman, NC; Emersynn and Barrett Marrow of Maiden, NC; Mason Marrow of Maiden, NC; Aiden and Gabriel Norris of Belmont, NC; and Paisley Mae Christenbury of Fort Mill, SC.
Family visitation will be Wednesday evening, February 23, 2022, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Services, 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC. A graveside service and burial will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Sharon Memorial Park, beside her husband and parents
