Obituary of Patsy S. Thomas

Patsy Thomas of Charlotte, NC sadly passed away at the age of 85 on Friday, November 18, 2022.

Patsy's energy to love and be there for other people was an undeniable gift. She was extremely creative, independent, life-loving, world-travelling and was a fierce little soul. She was so talented and made everything she touched beautiful and unique. She was like no other, she was amazing.

Patsy was born in Augusta, Georgia to Ernest and Edna Stanley on October 5th 1937. Patsy went on to marry Richard and they had five children together. Patsy and Richard were married for 58 years. They are together again and watching over their children and grandchildren who they loved so dearly.

Patsy decided to pursue a career and while pregnant with her youngest child, graduated from beauty school and became an incredible stylist. Patsy managed to care for her family all while becoming successful. She was so confident and so much fun. She had an amazing way of making friends everywhere she went and this continued for her entire life.

Patsy is survived by her five children, Rick Thomas, wife Janet, Jamie Thomas, Becky Rowland, husband Powers, Cindy Morgan, Kellie Spence, husband Robert. Also survived by her three grandchildren, Kelsi Rowland, Sam Rowland, and Carter Morgan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Thomas, her parents Ernest and Edna Stanley, and her brother Jake Stanley.

We would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care Palmetto Region for their care and compassion. We appreciate all you did. We also can’t thank the Blake at Baxter Village enough for all of the love and care for mom. She truly LOVED it there and loved all of you so much.

Patsy's life will be celebrated on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Boulevard Charlotte, NC 28203.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM
