Obituary of Joe Morrison Primm

Joe Morrison Primm (November 4, 1932-January 15, 2023) of Charlotte, will always be remembered for his kindness and gentleness. He was predeceased by two of his siblings, Myrtle and James, and then in 2002 by his loving wife, Phyllis, after nearly 47 years of marriage. He had a simple faith in Jesus, and lived it honestly. The son of John and Goldie Primm of the Oakdale community, he grew up on his family's farm. He went to Bob Jones University, then transferred to Pfeiffer College, where he met Phyllis. He served in the Korean War from 1953-1954, and was stationed in White Sands, NM.  After his service in the Army, he worked in the insurance business.  He also enjoyed many years working for Biggers Brothers, traveling across the state servicing machinery in the food industry.  He loved working on cars, machinery, and tinkering in his shop.  He will be greatly missed and forever honored by his two remaining siblings: Frieda and Brodie; his four sons: Joey, Tom, Phil and Ed; his daughters-in-law: Suzi, Jenny and Veronika; his 5 grandchildren: John, Palmer, Marjorie, Jett and Rocky; and his two great grandchildren, Daniel and Thomas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
